Overview

Corporate Event Awards honor innovative, results-driven corporate events. The most coveted award in the corporate-event industry, the competition draws domestic and international entrants from countries such as Germany, Japan, and China.

Corporate events launched between Feb. 1, 2009, and Feb. 1, 2011, are eligible. A corporate event is defined as a proprietary marketing event at which external customers or members of the media are the target audience.

The next deadline is February 2011.

Green Event
Event with typical corporate objectives as well as Green objectives/directives to reduce the negative impact on the environment, as realized through sustainability, eco-friendly or recycled materials, and/or a reduction of energy consumption. In addition to the summary requirements, list all Green elements and practices involved in the entry, and explain how they reduce the negative impact on the environment.
User Conference
An educational event hosted by a corporation.
Private Trade Show
An event that includes a trade show floor.
Customer-Appreciation Event
A corporate event intended to build or foster relationships with customers or partners.
Cost-Cutting
An event that has maintained or exceeded expectations despite a marked year-over-year budget reduction.
Media Event
A corporate event at which media are the primary guests and the objective is to generate media coverage of a company and/or its products.
Product Launch
A corporate event used to launch a product to customers, partners, or the media.
C-level/VIP Event
An event that targets executive customers or partners.
Dealer/Distributor Event
An educational, recognition, or training corporate event for external dealers, distributors, or franchisees.
Road Show/Multi-Venue Event
An event presented in multiple locations. The event may or may not be based on a vehicle platform, such as a tractor-trailer.
International Event
A corporate or media event held outside the United States.
Non-Traditional Event
An event for customers, partners, or the media that doesn't fit other categories.

Awards / Feature Articles

One Judges' Choice Award and multiple Gold and Silver Awards are offered.

Winners are featured in EXHIBITOR'S August issue, read by thousands of high-level, corporate-marketing professionals. Winning entrants also receive a trophy and recognition at EXHIBITOR2012.

All entries are considered for use in features and portfolios unrelated to the competition.
