Angeline Grace Close PhD Angeline Grace Close PhD

Angeline Grace Close, PhD, teaches Marketing Management, Advertising/ Integrated Marketing Communications, International Marketing, and Marketing Research, among others. She also completes consumer research in event marketing and the Internet, specifically how event-based communication/ promotion impacts behavior. Her research encompasses electronic services, e-tail, health-care, and holiday/leisure sectors.

Close's works appear in the Journal of Advertising Research, Advances in Consumer Research, Marketing Health Services, and the Proceedings of the American Marketing Association. She presents current research with many national and international audiences at meetings of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Association for Consumer Research (ACR), and Academy of Marketing Science (AMS). Close is also the chair of the American Marketing Association's Consumer Behavior Special Interest Group. Currently, she serves on the board of directors to current doctoral students in the AMA.

With more than 20 years in the computer industry, Mark Erwin has spent the last 14 years of his career with Intel Corp. working out of Intel's Hillsboro, OR, site. He is currently the senior manager of the global Intel Developer Forum (IDF) program.

Prior to taking on management of the IDF program, Erwin held various positions managing trade shows and launch events, and training teams across the corporation. Prior to coming to Intel, he worked as a sales representative for both national and Portland, OR-based computer and networking resellers, selling to Fortune 500 companies in Oregon and Washington.

Stuart GoldStuart Gold

Stuart Gold brings more than 23 years of extensive worldwide marketing experience to the software industry and currently serves as the vice president, field and partner marketing, for Omniture Inc.

Prior to Omniture, Gold was the vice president of partner marketing; global forums and sponsorships for BEA Systems, where he led a global team to create, define, and execute BEAWorld 2005, an annual technology conference. He also managed the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for BEA's most strategic partners as well as the multi-million dollar sports-marketing relationship with Rahal-Letterman Racing, which has attributed more than $15 million in license sales in just 24 months. Over his long tenor in software Gold has also held various senior management positions with Ariba Inc., Oracle Corp., and SAP America Inc.

Brad HoganBrad Hogan

Brad Hogan is currently head of global events for Aruba Networks Inc., a leader in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions based in Sunnyvale, CA. He is responsible for setting the end-to-end strategy on all corporate events, channels, and strategic partnership programs in 10 diverse industries. Hogan is currently in the middle of a complete overhaul of a corporate event program and one that will be featured at EXHIBITOR2009 in a "Profiles in Excellence" session.

Prior to joining Aruba Networks, Hogan was with Align Technology, MediaLive (now United Business Media Ltd.), Oracle Corp., and Sega of America in various management positions in corporate events and product marketing. He is an active member of the Corporate Event Marketing Association, and as a 15-year veteran of events, Hogan is highly skilled at taking over and building new teams, processes, and partnerships that integrate marketing spend to sales priorities.

Kirk HoverKirk Hover

Kirk Hover has more than 22 years experience covering virtually every discipline of corporate events and presentations. After graduate work in business and finance at UNLV, Hover began his career with five years at Bauer Audio Visual, where he gained an invaluable technical foundation in corporate AV.

Joining Encore Productions in 1990, his perspective widened as he became involved in nearly every division of the three-time ranked "Fastest Growing Private Companies" from Inc. magazine. He divided his time working in operations for events, managing rentals, and eventually shifting his energies into production where he held a wide range of positions, including show coordinator, project manager, technical director, stage manager and producer. In 2000, Hover was appointed as the director of Encore's Production Division, where he oversees sales, operations, post facilities, and live events.

Allison Saget is president of her own event-marketing consulting firm as well as a speaker, marketer, and author of "The Event Marketing Handbook: Beyond Logistics and Planning." Her expertise includes developing strategies for trade shows, conferences, product launches, sports hospitality events, partner sponsorship programs, press- and analyst-relations efforts, executive functions, and sales events.

In her 20-year marketing career, she has created, designed, and managed more than 1,000 events, and worked in advertising, television, collateral design and production, logo merchandising, and direct marketing. Her clients and work experience have included such companies as Accenture, StarCite Inc., Harcourt Achieve, Oracle Corp., Tektronix, Procore Technologies Inc., DigitalThink Inc., Cardinal Business Media Inc., and USA Cable Network.
