My career has had its ups and downs since 1994, and my CTSM certification has opened many doors for me across the US. I'm currently a Marketing Coordinator for Merchants Leasing.

In 1994 I left a stable job with a large computer manufacturer in the East for personal reasons and moved to the Midwest. This was just three short months after receiving my CTSM certification.

Because of the contacts I made at the Exhibitor Show I was able to find a consulting job for 3 months until I could find steady employment. Through the local newspaper I found and interviewed for a Trade Show & Promotions Manager job, and I got it! The vice president confided that she had run into the president's office after my interview and asked if she could chase me down the highway and hire me on the spot - she was that impressed with my CTSM certification.

I've now experienced downsizing twice, and both times have found employment with a boost from my CTSM certification. During my job searches the hiring managers noted without exception that my CTSM certification was one of the reasons they wanted to interview me. I didn't always get the job, but it got me in the door.
