Melanie Swanson, CTSM (2002)
Senior Conference Specialist, Covance Inc., Madison, WI
Melanie joined Covance Inc. in 2007 as a Senior Conference Specialist. Melanie's responsibilities include the tactical implementation of all US conferences, events, and symposia for the Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacology, Central Laboratories, and Late Stage Development Services business units. Covance, a contract research organization, is one of the world's largest drug development services companies. With headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey, Covance (NYSE: CVD) has annual revenues greater than $1 billion, global operations in more than 20 countries and approximately 8100 employees.

Melanie is one of only 16 CTSM graduates to hold the Gold-Level certification, the highest level achievable after earning the CTSM designation.

Most recently Melanie was a Sales Associate for Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. in Appleton Wisconsin--the nation's largest fire and emergency apparatus manufacturer; and a Marketing Assistant for its parent company, Oshkosh Truck in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Prior to relocating to Wisconsin, Melanie spent two years as the Marketing Events Manager for Wacom Technology in Vancouver, Washington and two years as a member of the Communications Team at Hewlett Packard.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Personnel Psychology and Human Resource Management from Washington State University.
