Next Program - Tuesday, January 27th

I'd like to thank you all for your contributions to a successful 2008. Our chapter continues to show that we are one of the most innovative, informative, and interesting chapters in the country.

I'm very excited to say that we are starting the new year with a wonderful program to be held on Tuesday, January 27th, at the Minnesota Historical Society's (MNHS) History Center.

MNHSOur featured presenter is Aaron Novodvorsky, Exhibit Project Manager of the MN150 exhibit - a tribute to Minnesota's 150 years of statehood. Novodvorsky will discuss how the exhibit department at the MNHS put together this celebratory display of 150 items from over 2,700 nominations submitted by Minnesotans across the state and across the globe.

EDPAAlso, a part of this meeting will be our annual visit from the President of the national Exhibit Designers & Producers Association. This year, Dan Cantor will discuss the decision for the new look and management direction of the EDPA, and he will review the results of the most recent economic survey.

Bemidji StateThen, Dr. Bonnie Higgins and Graduate Assistant Sachel Josefson will present an overview of the Exhibit Design Program at Bemidji State University.

Schedule:

  • 4:30pm - 5:00pm cocktail hour (cash bar)
  • 5:00pm - 5:30pm Dan Cantor's EDPA presentation
  • 5:30pm - 6:30pm Aaron Novodvorsky presentation and tour of MN150
  • 6:30pm - 7:30pm food/refreshments and Dr. Bonnie Higgins
  • 7:30pm - museum browsing

An in room cash bar will be open from 4:30 – 8:00pm. Please note that no food or beverage may be brought into the museum exhibit areas. Food and cash bar provided by Café Minnesota and Bon Appétit.
