“Hard work spotlights the character of people: Some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don’t turn up at all.”

he winners of the 11th Annual All-Star Awards are some serious sleeve turners. Facing everything from a brand-identity crisis to internal skeptics stuck in the status quo, this year’s winners didn’t turn tail and run. In fact, these four hard-working marketers turned up remarkable results, such as a 71-percent increase in leads, a 41 percent-increase in booth traffic, and a jaw-dropping 7 million media impressions.
What’s more, these shoulder-to-the-grindstone marketers opted for research and strategic thinking — rather than expensive software and high-tech hoopla — to grind out their success.
One winner, for example, went the do-it-yourself route by designing his next exhibit in-house, a strategy that cut costs and increased leads in the process. When another winner faced stuck-in-the-mud management that couldn’t see the forest through the trees, she turned to good ol’ reliable research to prove there were problems with her program and convince management that her solutions could solve them.
So please join us in congratulating this year’s All-Star Award winners. May these four hard-working characters (below) inspire you to turn up your sleeves and tackle some of your own program’s most daunting challenges.
And if you think you could hold court with these impressive award winners, visit www.ExhibitorOnline.com/awards/allstars.asp and find out how to nominate yourself for next year’s All-Star Awards. Who knows? You could walk away with a trophy, a scholarship to EXHIBITOR 2010, and your name up in lights!
