Why Can't We Just Get Along? An Interactive Conversation about the Challenges of the Multi-Generational Workplace

A panel representing a cross-section of age groups will discuss the pros and cons of working with all ages from each perspective. Class interaction will be greatly encouraged. Attendees will learn:

| • | As each panelist shares his/her story, attendees will gain understanding of each perspective
|
| • | Panelists will give examples of basic assumptions about his/her age group and express opinions about those assumptions
|
| • | Each panelist will share examples of techniques they use to successfully work with co-workers of different age groups
|
| • | Class participants are encouraged to share their stories so we can all learn from each other
|

Tracey Jones, CTSM candidate
Tracey Jones (CTSM Candidate) is the marketing coordinator of Aspirant Education, Inc., an internet based company that provides online training for employees in the medical equipment industry. She develops tradeshow strategies, advertisements, social media, graphic design and manages all marketing campaigns. Tasked with an exhibit makeover her first year with the company, she quickly learned the industry and successfully executed a trade show plan that showcased her creativity and innovation. Her enthusiasm paired with her true go-getter attitude and caffeine addiction makes her an energetic marketer and an asset to brand development.

Joan Eisenstodt
Joan Eisenstodt founded Eisenstodt Associates, a Washington, DC-based meetings and consulting and training company in 1981. She brings 35+ years experience to her work with associations, corporations, hotel companies and DMOs, to facilitate and design meetings, conduct training, perform departmental audits, negotiate contracts and serve as an expert witness. Among her industry activities, she serves as chair of ASAE’s Ethics Committee. Her passions for meeting preparation and excellence, risk anticipation, contingency planning, and ethical practices have been well-recognized by MPI, HSMAI, PCMA, and NSA; as an inductee into the CIC Hall of Leaders, by PCMA’s Foundation for Lifetime Achievement as an Educator, and by IACC with the Pyramid Award and the Mel Hosansky Award for Distinguished Service.

As FUJIFILM Medical Systems, manager, corporate events, Steven solely manages 40+ trade shows and corporate events annually. In 2012, he was appointed to the exhibitor advisory board of the American College of Cardiology. Steven presents at EXHIBITOR and EXHIBITORFastTrak, is a CTSM portfolio advisor and has served on the editorial advisory board of EXHIBITOR magazine since 2010.

Joe Federbush
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Exhibit Surveys, Inc., Joe has been developing research and measurement success stories for many of the world’s largest exhibitors and event producers. Back in 1988 Joe joined Exhibit Surveys and has worked in various positions from the ground up including IT and project management. In 2001 he became Director of Sales and Marketing and has been a top producer since being promoted to VP in 2008. Joe is a board member of TSEA, and an active contributor and member of IAEE, HCEA, and CEMA.
