Your activities as an exhibit manager bring you in contact with legal issues and concepts every day. You need a basic overview of general legal concepts and specific information in the following areas to be successful:

•  Contract formation and basic contract law

•  Contract remedies and damages

•  Responsibility for injury on the show floor (tort law)

•  Labor law

•  Protecting your company’s products and brands (intellectual property law)

•  Insurance

•  Special event considerations, outdoor events, non-traditional venues

Legal terms and concepts will be explained. Many case studies will be used to emphasize important, common legal issues.
