Hotel Design
Designed by Deborah Berke, who blueprinted Calvin Klein's stores in the 1990s, The James features concise colors with a focus on intricate textures throughout the lobby. The guestrooms and suites feature a color palette of contrasting cool and warm tones. The minimalist layout and custom designed furniture include a streamlined dark wood platform bed, private dining niche, commissioned artwork, dimmable lighting, and spacious slate-tiled and marbled bathrooms all created with the guests' personal needs in mind.
The James blends comfort and hi-tech amenities to meet the needs of the modern traveler, featuring plasma screen TV's, a stereo with Ipod/MP3 dock, complimentary wireless internet access, a cordless dual-line phone, Kiehl's bath products, 100% Turkish cotton towels, a full length mirror, custom James robes and slippers, and a snack & cocktail bar.
