Las Vegas Hospitality Association’s 26th Annual Golf Tournament Raises Money for Scholarships
The Las Vegas Hospitality Association’s (LVHA) 26th annual fundraising golf tournament held at Cascata Golf Club on Thursday, May 31, 2012, raised more than $15,000 for local scholarships and charities.
“The money, which will stay in Las Vegas, will help to develop our next generation of leaders,” said Bryan Kroten, LVHA president and vice president marketing for Maverick Aviation Group.
Over the past 20 years, LVHA has raised more than $770,000 for scholarships and charities for the Southern Nevada community. Money is put into the LVHA scholarship account to fund requests for: Child of LVHA; College of Southern Nevada Foundation LVHA Scholarships; Nellis Air Force Base Spouse Scholarships; LVHA Continuing Education Scholarships for members; and the Valley High School Magnet School College Scholarship.
Attraction business Pole Position was the winning golf team scoring 56 on a par 72 course. Team members included Brad Mark, Lano Mann, Kirk Babbington and Brian Walsh. The second and third place teams were selected by a Score Card Playoff making the Hello Las Vegas event planning team second and Troon Golf third.
