EXHIBITOR Magazine's 10th Annual Corporate Event Awards is now accepting entries. The most coveted award in the corporate-event industry, the Corporate Event Awards honor innovative, results-driven corporate events. The competition draws domestic and international entrants from countries such as Germany, Japan, and China.
The 2013 Corporate Event Awards are the event industry's only results-based competition, offering 13 categories, including everything from product launches and Green events to media gatherings and virtual events. While other programs offer awards for flashy aerial acts and pretty centerpieces, the Corporate Event Awards honor innovative event programs that don't just look good; they also deliver measurable results.
A corporate event is defined as a proprietary marketing event at which external customers or members of the media are the target audience. Corporate events launched between Feb. 1, 2011, and Feb. 1, 2013, are eligible for the 2013 competition.
This competition is judged by renowned marketing and design experts, such as Angeline Grace Close PhD, professor of marketing, University of Nevada, Las Vegas; Allison Saget, event marketing consultant, author of "The Event Marketing Handbook," San Francisco; and Chris Bombarger, events manager, National Instruments Corp., Austin, TX.
Each winner receives a stunning trophy and is featured in EXHIBITOR magazine's August issue (read by roughly 30,000 marketing professionals). Plus, every entry is evaluated by the magazine's editorial staff for use in features and columns unrelated to the competition.
