GEP & Krisam Group Promote Stacy Tischler to Chief Operating Officer
Stacy Tischler, senior vice president of operations for Global Events Partners (GEP) and the Krisam Group, has been named the chief operating officer of GEP and Krisam effectively immediately. GEP is a leading partnership of 65 destination management companies (DMCs) worldwide and Krisam is the top national sales company representing over 250 independent and unique member hotels.
"I take great pleasure in announcing this well-deserved appointment," said Jim Schultenover, president of GEP and Krisam. "Stacy has risen quickly through the company. She began here overseeing our events and continued to take on new responsibilities, rising to become senior vice president. She has been running our day to day operations for some time now. This promotion recognizes and rewards that while giving her more management authority."
Chris White, Chairman and CEO states, "In her new position as a senior leader in the company, she will continue to be responsible for our national and global executive summits and our marketing efforts, while taking on more management of the worldwide members and partners of Krisam and GEP."
"I'm looking forward to working with Chris and Jim to take GEP & Krisam to the next level," Ms. Tischler said, "with an emphasis on streamlining processes while increasing profits. My efforts of the last several years have been leading up to this new position and I welcome the challenge."
Ms. Tischler started as director, corporate development of GEP in 2006, became senior vice president of operations for GEP in 2008, and added the Krisam Group in 2010. Prior to joining GEP, she spent four years in marketing and account management at a health care consulting firm, working with some of the top healthcare systems in the country.
She is a graduate of the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Business with a Bachelor's of Science in Commerce. In 2006, she received a certificate in Event Management from GW University. She resides in Washington, DC.
Global Events Partners Selects Giuseppe Lepri to Head New Brussels Operation
Global Events Partners (GEP), the leading partnership of destination management companies (DMCs) worldwide, is pleased to announce that Giuseppe Lepri, founder and former head of NewTours, Italy, has been appointed managing director of its new GEP Europe office in Brussels.
"There is no one better qualified to lead GEP Europe than Giuseppe Lepri, with his 40 years' experience in the meetings business in Europe and his long association as a GEP partner and friend." said Chris White, GEP chairman and CEO, "Our goal with this new office is to increase our brand presence in Europe. This is a logical expansion of our many years' experience there with clients and with partner DMCs."
"Under Giuseppe's leadership," White continued, "Newtours grew to be one of the leading DMCs in Italy, and was recognized twice with the GEP Partner of the Year Award. This experience coupled with his service on the GEP International Advisory Board helping to set the tone and direction of our company will help ensure the growth and success of GEP Europe."
In addition to expanding GEP's presence overseas, Giuseppe will also be focused on working with US based associations to help them with their International PCO program needs.

In 1978, Giuseppe Lepri, an Italian native, founded NewTours with headquarters in Florence. Under his leadership, NewTours grew to be an internationally known company staging conferences and congresses for up to 10,000 attendees, operating at both the national and international level. In 2007, Lepri sold his shares in the business to Alessandro Rosso Incentive Group, continuing on as CEO until January 2013.
Now based in Brussels, Giuseppe can converse in French, German, English, Spanish, and Italian.
