Hargrove Announces Key Staff Promotions as Company Continues to Grow
Hargrove, one of the largest trade show, event and
exhibit companies in the U.S., announced today several promotions of key
staff members, including that of Diana Simmons, now Hargrove's executive
vice president and chief operating officer. The promotions follow a
remarkable period of extended growth for Hargrove, who was recently named
to the 2013 Inc. magazine Inc. 500|5000 list, an exclusive ranking of the
nation's fastest growing private companies.
In addition to Simmons' promotion, Hargrove has promoted Fred Strickland
to the newly created position of executive director of procurement and
product development; John Aulbach will now serve as executive director of
production services, overseeing production management and fabrication; and
David Solsbery will now lead the graphics production and graphics
detailing as the executive director creative services.
"As a world-class creator of experiential environments, our goal has
always been to offer our clients creative solutions and outstanding
service. These promotions are part of our ongoing strategy to position the
company for greater market share. Each of the leaders we've promoted has
been an integral part of our success and importantly, share a belief in
the importance of our industry and a commitment to extraordinary customer
service. We look forward to great things of each of them," said Tim
McGill, Hargrove CEO.
Over the course of just three years, Hargrove revenues have increased by
78%. Producing hundreds of projects annually throughout the U.S.,
Hargrove's clients range from Fortune 500 companies to national
associations. Last year, Hargrove produced some of the most complex
events on the global stage, including the 2012 NATO and G8 Summits and the
Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC.
Additionally, Hargrove was recently awarded a variety of new business for
all three product lines, including:
o The Airports Council International Annual Conference and Exhibition;
o The National Institute of Governmental Purchasing Annual Forum and
o The National Association of College Auxiliary Services Annual
o The 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington; and
o The Inc. 500/5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony.
All of the staff members promoted were instrumental in securing this new
business and have directly contributed the company's remarkable growth.
"I believe Hargrove offers a unique approach to the creation of
face-to-face environments for our clients and unparalleled customer
service. Our growth has been incredible, but I know with these promotions
as well as our entire talented team the greatest years for Hargrove are
ahead," said Hargrove executive vice president and chief operating officer
Simmons, who now oversees all of Hargrove's business operations, is a
seasoned industry professional and 13-year veteran of Hargrove. Most
recently, she served as the executive vice president of Hargrove. Prior
to joining Hargrove, she was the general manager of the Mid-Atlantic
Division for GES and the president for National Trade Productions.
Strickland, as executive director of procurement and product development,
will lead the company's research and product development efforts as the
company aggressively identifies new ways to ensure its client's success.
Strickland, who has been with Hargrove for 25 years, previously oversaw
Hargrove's expansive fabrication and graphics capabilities.
Aulbach, a 15-year veteran of Hargrove, has led the production of Hargrove's
most complex projects, including the 2012 NATO Conference, four
presidential inaugurations and the dedication of the National Air and
Space Museum's Steven Udvar-Hazy Center. Aulbach's promotion to executive
director of production services will help streamline Hargrove production
management and fabrication functions.
Solsbery will now lead the graphics production and graphics detailing as
the executive director creative services. Solsbery, who joined Hargrove
in 1998, has overseen the design requirement of countless high-profile and
complex projects. Hargrove's graphics capabilities are some of the most
advanced in the U.S., due to the company's ongoing investments in hi-tech
equipment, training and software.
