Chris Ballman Joins SmithBucklin as Director of Education & Learning Services
SmithBucklin, the association management and services company more organizations turn to than any other, announced Chris Ballman has joined the company as director, Education & Learning Services (ELS). Ballman brings more than 15 years of experience in leading the design, implementation and evaluation of instructional programs for adult learners in eLearning and instructor-led settings.
In his new role, Ballman will be responsible for ELS staff and business operations in Chicago, and also serve in several client-facing roles. Additionally, he will support the continued development of SmithBucklin's eLearning curriculum, as well as lead the team in the skill development of various educational authoring tools and methodologies.

Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Ballman supported content creation at Colorado Technical University where he co-created one of the school's most popular classes, a career planning and management course taken by more than 15,000 students. He also co-led the development and presentation of career-focused webinars to students across the United States, and developed eLearning modules for new hires and existing employees. In addition, Ballman has spoken at conferences and companies such as Sears, JPMorgan Chase and the Intern Bridge Career Services Online Conference on career-management topics, online course development and human resources best practices.
Ballman holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. and a Master of Science in Human Resources from Loyola University in Chicago, Ill. He also holds Professional in Human Resources and WholeBrain Practitioner certifications, and is a DDI Certified Facilitator.
