Shepard Exposition Services Continues Tradition of Giving Back
Shepard Exposition Services made donations to Give Kids the World and the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at UCF during its annual customer event, the Shepard Sandbox Summit, recently held in Orlando at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel.
Checks were presented during an awards luncheon at which Harris Rosen, founder of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, spoke to the show organizer executives about his people-centered philosophy, hands-on approach and commitment to community involvement. His passion for giving back inspired Shepard to add the Rosen College of Hospitality Management to its list of charities by creating an annual scholarship for the school. Shepard also presented a check to its long-time benefactor, Give Kids the World, the Orlando resort where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free fantasy vacations. Give Kids the World was created by hotelier Henri Landwirth in the 1980s.
“Our commitment to giving back to the communities in which we serve is a reflection of the culture of service practiced each and every day by our Shepard associates around the country,” said Richard Maples, executive vice president of Shepard Exposition Services.
