TradeTecís Award-winning Exhibit Design Increased eLabís Brand Impact
Lombard, IL-TradeTec Skyline Exhibit Studio designed eLab Solutions a new 20x20 creative exhibit for their 2012 event that enhanced their image and won TradeTec the Marshall Johnson award. When eLab, a small up and rising company located in Atlanta, GA, approached TradeTec in
2012 they were healing from an unfortunate partner experience from their past. eLab was looking for the best low-cost solution within a smaller footprint that not only highlighted their brand, but also had a sustainable base and quality look and feel that provided a big brand experience for their customers.
eLab had many goals for their PAIN Week Show, hosted in Las Vegas, NV, at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Their objectives were to create a new exhibit that effectively showcased their brand, increase brand awareness, market potential and leads; and did it in a way that kept costs down and allowed them to stay within their event marketing budget. A heavy task for most, but with TradeTec’s help, their needs of an open and inviting exhibit, with purpose for multiple uses, was easily met. TradeTec Exhibit Studio often gets asked that fundamental question of, “How can we represent our brand effectively, by not spending a ton of money?” The question to them is not absurd, it is honest, and in this economy, pretty common.
eLab’s last marketing experience did not fulfill their prior obligations, leaving them eager to find a new exhibit partner that would put their needs first and help them reach their event marketing budget and objectives, effectively and efficiently.
TradeTec was able to create not only a complete turnkey solution, but design within eLab’s brand standards, space requirements and provide the whole experience, priced under eLab’s initial budget. The process took only five weeks from design to show floor. TradeTec found a way to reduce costs by utilizing light weight quality materials, local furniture and labor services that are available to reuse for future events. The exhibit space included storage, seating, signage, hospitality area and more. The complete 20x20 exhibit structure fit into one large crate, which weighed and shipped less than 1,300 lbs. With TradeTec’s Fixed Labor and Fixed Freight price guarantee, these efficient components enabled eLab to stay under budget and within plan.
TradeTec was able to provide a high quality exhibit that provided a 78% cost savings for drayage and freight. The exhibit was designed with components for easy installation that provided eLab an additional savings in labor of over 30% in comparison to their former partner.

The show set up went smoothly with a performance that was flawless. TradeTec took care of all the logistics in a short amount of time. eLab’s management team was impressed when they arrived at the event, the booth was ready to go with all details accomplished.
The architectural design and creative elements made an impact at the event, driving in new prospects and increased traffic to learn more about eLab’s products and solutions; therefore resulting in an exceeded growth of leads from their event in 2011. Each component of the exhibit program tied into meeting measurable data expense and ROI.
In result, TradeTec designer, Alex Karan, was awarded The Marshall Johnson Award, for the best 20x20 exhibit design due to its small carbon footprint, reduced cost and sustainable solution. The Marshall Johnson Exhibit Design Contest recognizes the best trade show exhibits designed and sold by Skyline Dealers worldwide for 2012. Each designer and account team was asked to submit case studies in addition to their design entries that included the unique challenges their clients faced and how their problems were solved with the support and unique exhibit design presented.
