Holman’s Founder Peter Holman Passes
Peter Holman, founder of Holman Exhibits Limited formerly known as Holman Design Limited, peacefully passed away from cancer on January 7th. Establishing the company in 1964, his dedication and focus towards the business of bringing innovation, creativity, and quality to exhibits and displays set the solid roots for Holman reaching its 50th year in the industry.
Peter’s enthusiasm and passion impacted all who had the privilege to work with him. He injected a desire to deliver the very best for his clients and worked tirelessly until each project achieved its successes.
His long-standing relationships with Canadian museums, visitor centers, and galleries have resulted in Holman’s design and fabrication work on display from coast to coast. Most recently, his efforts resulted in the fabrication of the Giant Panda exhibit at the Toronto Zoo, as well as the interactive David Bowie exhibit at Toronto’s AGO, The Rooms in Newfoundland and ongoing projects at the Bata Shoe Museum.
“Peter set the stage for what today is the Holman family. He will be missed for his contagious spirit, dedication, and care,” Wendy Cudney, CFO.
“It is very difficult to part with a colleague and a friend who believed so strongly not just in work, but in the people of Holman. His influence will always be felt throughout our offices and in the work of Holman,” Dirk Trefzger, COO.
