Annual V-Twin Expo Kick-Starts Cincinnati USA Convention Year
Cincinnati USA welcomes the V-Twin Expo back to the Duke Energy Convention Center on February 8-9 for its 14th consecutive year in the city, making it the longest running convention in the history of the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
“There couldn’t be a better time to welcome the V-Twin Expo back to Cincinnati USA,” said Dan Lincoln, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA CVB. “This group has witnessed the exciting renaissance of our region and been a positive force for our economy throughout the past 13 years. Cincinnati USA is now more vibrant than ever, making it a great destination for meetings and conventions like this one. We're honored to host the V-Twin Expo attendees for another successful year."
Sponsored by Easyriders Magazine and produced by Paisano Publications, the Expo is the only exclusive v-twin focused trade show in the world, open only to dealers in the v-twin Industry. A v-twin is any two-cylinder motorcycle engine produced in a “V” shape. The retailers and manufacturers attending the Expo will focus on the service, maintenance, accessories and customization of these machines, and booths will feature interactive demonstrations and retail discounts for motorsport dealers. The event is not open to the public.
The highlights of the 2014 Expo include:
• The opportunity for attendees to meet the first woman to ever go over 200 mph (holder of 10 Land Speed records), and to see her record-breaking motorcycle
• Live music performance by rocker Jasmine Cain, JPF Female Artist of the Year and two-time winner of Nashville's Music City Mayhem Female Rock Vocalist Award
• Industry Welcome Party & Awards show hosted by veteran motorsport broadcaster Griff Allen
The Expo will also feature seminars throughout the event with topics including: Social Media Marketing, Event Planning, Scanning Tools: Diagnostics and Tuning Aids, and legal issues surrounding websites and social media.
Throughout the past 13 years, V-Twin has brought over $14.2 million in economic impact to Cincinnati USA. The event has attracted thousands of attendees, contracting up to 6,000 room nights per year. This year, attendees will stay at the Garfield Suites, Hyatt Regency, Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, Millennium Hotel and the Westin Hotel.
The region also welcomed the International Hoof-Care Summit this week (January 28-31) for its 11th annual convention in Cincinnati. More than 1,500 room nights were contracted at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza. Attendees generated an estimated $468,000 in economic impact.
Cincinnati USA will welcome key events and conventions to the region throughout 2014, including Enactus (March 31-April 4), Midwest Homeschool (April 21-28), the Church of God in Christ (May 16-25), Educational Testing Service (June 1-19), and the National Urban League (July 22-27), among others.
