Showplans Flying High with Farnborough International Airshow Deal
Farnborough International Limited (FIL), organiser of the Farnborough International Airshow and FIVE (Farnborough International Venue and Events), has appointed Showplans to provide planning services for both the Farnborough International Airshow 2014 and FIVE's forthcoming events. Floorplanning management is a complex process at any event, involving tight scheduling and rearrangement of challenging exhibits and as the largest temporary exhibition in the world FIA requires the specialist expertise that Showplans have demonstrated. Their skills and accuracy will play a pivotal role alongside the FIL operations team, specifically as the show transitions from the five day commercial trade event to the two day public airshow, attracting in excess of 100,000 consumer visitors over the two days.
Grahame Jones, Chief Operating Officer at FIL, says, “Showplans' modern approach was an important factor in the decision to engage their services. Working with a detail-oriented specialist like Showplans brings us unique services such as their interactive 3D mapping system, helping to keep the show at the forefront of technology operationally, which is where we want to be.”
“The Farnborough International Airshow is a very prestigious brand in the events calendar and it’s testament to our hard work, technical knowledge and forward thinking that we have been chosen to undertake such an important role in the show and FIL's other commercial activities. In the past we’ve watched the flying displays from our office window in Fleet, so it will be great to actually be a part of this year’s event!” added Adam Jones, CEO of Showplans.
Farnborough International Airshow will take place on the 14th-20th July 2014.
