SMG Completes Deal to Acquire Premier Food Services
SMG, the world leader in facility management and a leading provider of food and beverage services, announced today that it has acquired Premier Food Services. The acquisition will enable SMG, and its food service division, SAVOR, to broaden their base of food service customers to include some of the preeminent venues and businesses in the San Diego market.

The Premier acquisition further strengthens SMG/SAVOR's position as an innovative, high-quality provider of food service. Premier's clients include iconic venues such as the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack, The Ida and Cecil Green Faculty Club at the University of California San Diego, as well as, dining services at some widely-recognized businesses and educational institutions in the San Diego region. Carriage Trade Catering, a well-established specialty catering business, is included under the Premier umbrella, and is included as part of the acquisition.
SMG and SAVOR currently manage food and beverage operations at several California locations including Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco; Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center; Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach; the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach; Ontario Convention Center; Save Mart Center at California State University, Fresno; and the Stockton Arena.
