Restoration Industry Association Selects SmithBucklin for Full-Service Management
The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) has selected SmithBucklin, the association management and services company more organizations turn to than any other, to provide full-service association management. In addition, Marc Selvitelli has joined the company and will serve as RIA's executive director. RIA's headquarters has relocated from Rockville, Md. to Washington, D.C.
Founded in 1946, RIA is the oldest and largest nonprofit, professional trade association dedicated to providing leadership and promoting best practices through advocacy, standards and professional qualifications for the restoration industry. Representing more than 20,000 cleaning and restoration professionals from 1,100 member firms specializing in textiles, environmental issues and restoration, RIA provides credibility, education and business improvement events to maximize industry exposure and to advance knowledge in the cleaning and restoration industry.

In his new role as RIA's executive director, Selvitelli will lead all aspects of the association's strategy and operations. In addition, he will manage the SmithBucklin headquarters team and be responsible for meeting goals set by RIA's leadership.
Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Selvitelli served as vice president, membership and chapter relations of NAIOP, The Commercial Real Estate Development Association, where he was responsible for overseeing the association's chapters, expanding its chapter network and implementing new membership programs and initiatives. Previously, he served as executive director of the National Association of Community Credit Unions and as senior director, strategic planning of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Selvitelli also served the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) as director of industry relations and director of regional field operations.
