Traveling Exhibit by ExpoDisplays Boards Queen Mary for Six Month Stay
A temporary museum exhibit created, designed and built by ExpoDisplays’ Method-1 division has boarded the historic ocean liner Queen Mary. “Bob Hope: An American Treasure” was created in a partnership with the Bob and Delores Hope Foundation and the World Golf Hall of Fame.
It was 75 years ago this September, in 1939, that Hope performed his first wartime routine on the Queen Mary. The 2,200 square foot Bob Hope exhibit features more than 150 artifacts, including Hope’s PGA money clip, an honorary Oscar statuette, Honorary Veterans citation, and Congressional gold medal. More than 200 vintage photos and several video displays tell the story about Hope’s early years as part of an immigrant family in the early 20th century, his rise as a star of stage, screen and radio, the relationships he had with U.S. presidents, his devotion to the U.S. military and of course his love of golf.
Mary Altman, who worked on the project stated, “As clients go, the Hall of Fame has to rank up there with Method-1's biggest fans.”
The Bob Hope exhibit is the first traveling exhibit commissioned by the World Golf Hall of Fame. The exhibit will be on display until January 2015. For ticket information, go to
