Dallas Design Week Welcomes More than 800 to Dallas Market Center

Dallas Market Center today announced that its inaugural Dallas Design Week welcomed more than 800 members of the design community to campus. The week’s events included the popular “Dine + Design” education and networking luncheon as well as showroom events throughout the open-daily campus. Dine + Design included a CEU certified presentation featuring celebrity designer, Drew McGukin, Julia Molloy of BOLD Summit, and moderated by Nick May of The Chaise Lounge. Color themes from Sherwin Williams included Koral Kicks and Fine Wine set the stage for the reception prior to the presentation that included 24 displays from exhibitors.

Additional events included BOLD-Just Logistics a two-day workshop on billing, branding, efficiency, and up-leveling client bases featuring Julia Molloy of BOLD Summit and guest speaker, Mike Peterson.

“Elevating Your Brand—A Conversation for Designers”, sponsored by PALECEK and D Home, brought together more than 100 designers to discuss brand awareness, media, finding the right clientele through strategic marketing, and more. Digital mavens Caitlin Wilson and Pulp Design Studios’ founders, Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry were joined by Ryan Conner, D Home’s executive editor and D Magazine Partners' marketing director Gillea Allison.

“Interior Design Meets Real Estate” explored the boundless, synergistic potential between interior design and real estate with moderator Pierce Allman and panelist Erin Mathews of real estate firm Allie Beth Allman & Associates alongside celebrity designer and panelist, Robin Baron.

Inside the In-Detail showroom, an overflow crowd attended the “Social Media Roundtable” featuring a discussion about strengthening the connection between your brand and social media channels by increasing engagement, loyalty, and exposure. The interactive panel featured Nikki Nuckols of Click & Co. and Ginger Curtis of Urbanology Designs.

The final evening featured a special event sponsored by D Home, “Gatherings at the Gallery: Decadent Designs”. Guests enjoyed light bites, the Dallas String Quartet, and signature cocktails while perusing The Gallery at the Interior Home + Design Center. Special giveaways included $1,000 in gift certificates to Flora Street Café and fine jewelry valued at $3,000 provided by INTERGEM, located on the 7th floor of the World Trade Center.
