Bowman Design Group Finalist for Sustainable Business Award

4/19/2012 - Bowman Design Group, an interdisciplinary communications design firm specializing in identity, exhibits, and event marketing, has been named a finalist for the Sustainable Business Council’s inaugural Sustainable Business Award. SBC instituted the award in order to showcase Southern California’s sustainable businesses and the contributions they make to the marketplace and the community.

Tom Bowman, founder and chairman of Bowman Design Group, says it is an honor to be named a finalist in a field of innovative, green companies. “Besides implementing a successful green business plan at our own company—we reduced carbon emissions by 65% in just two years—I’ve been working to mobilize small business owners as climate ‘first responders.’ It’s gratifying that the judges recognize the value of sharing our simple, cost-effective approach and our work to advance green practices across the entire small business community,” says Bowman.

SBC’s panel of six judges are all leading experts who are walking the talk of reducing their carbon footprint in both business and everyday life. “We are extremely excited to introduce this new annual event – to recognize the leading sustainable businesses and individuals in the Southern California area,” said Steve Glenn, Chair and co-founder of the SBC.
