Convention Industry Council Hosts Inspiration Center at IMEX in Frankfurt Seventh Year in a Row

5/24/2012 - From May 22 - 24, 2012, meeting professionals and suppliers from 150 countries will flock to Frankfurt, Germany to participate in IMEX, the international exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events. The Convention Industry Council (CIC), representing 32 member organizations, continues its presence at IMEX this year and hosts the Inspiration Center for the seventh consecutive year.

"We're seeing more global dialogue in the meetings industry," said Karen Kotowski, CAE, CMP and Convention Industry Council's Chief Executive Officer. "Advancements in our industry hinge upon collaboration with our partners around the world, and the growth of international conferences and the recent introduction of the CMP International Standards are both signs that we're making real progress."

The Inspiration Center is located on the show floor and will feature free education sessions, smaller Campfire Discussions and the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with CIC executive staff.

CIC representatives will also participate in the IMEX Politicians Forum. A platform to discuss the state of the industry, the forum will be attended by 100 business event leaders including 30 politicians and government officials from governments in Europe, Africa, North America and Asia Pacific.

More than 9,000 individuals are expected to attend IMEX with access to 3,500 exhibitors representing national and regional tourist offices, hotel groups, airlines, destination management companies, service providers, trade associations and more.
