EXHIBITOR2013 Exhibit Sales and Pre-show Registrations Indicate Positive Outlook for Trade Show Industry in 2013
For several years, each EXHIBITOR show has been a strong indicator
of the strength of the trade show industry. Based on this year's exhibit sales and pre-show
registration, the future of the trade show industry is bright for 2013.
EXHIBITOR2013, The World Conference and Exhibition for Trade Show and Corporate Event Marketing, meets from March 17-21, 2013, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas.
The show’s exhibit hall will feature hundreds of exhibits and will offer thousands of solutions to solve the toughest trade show and corporate event challenges of attendees.
As of January 21, more than 258 exhibitors have taken more than 60,670 net square feet of
exhibit space. This compares to a total of 219 exhibitors for all of 2012, who occupied
52,250 net square feet. These are increases of almost 20 percent and 17 percent respectively
with almost two months before the conference. The updated Exhibitor List is online at www.exhibitor2013.com/2013/exhibitors.asp.
Advance registration also is doing well. As the February 7 deadline for attendees to take advantage of early registration discounts approaches, advance registration is up nearly 10 percent when compared with the same period last year.
"This increase in attendance is another positive sign because it shows that companies
which exhibit at trade shows are once again willing to budget for their employees' education," said Carol Fojtik, Show Director.
Another positive indicator is the increase in international participation.
Forty-one exhibitors from nine foreign countries have taken booth space for the 2013
show, including 11 each from Canada and Germany and eight from China. Other
countries represented include Belgium, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Russia and Spain.
In addition to representatives from all 50 states, exhibitors and attendees from more than
40 countries also have registered for EXHIBITOR2013.
"We are especially pleased with the international contingent," Fojtik continued. "The
international exhibitors are telling us that they are coming to connect with US exhibitors,
both to find outlets in America and to help US companies expand their overseas business."
