Experient Hires Barb Herod as VP, Association Sales

3/14/2013 - Experient is pleased to announce the addition of Barbara Herod, CMP, as its new Vice President, Association Sales, effective March 4.

Herod comes to Experient from the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau where she helped manage the sales of the city as a first-tier destination for meetings and conventions as their Associate Vice President of Sales, Eastern Region.

“The depth of expertise in sales and team motivation that Barb brings will continue to position Experient as the leader in the meetings industry,” said Nancy DeBrosse, CMP, Experient Senior Vice President, Sales and Account Management. “She is a high energy, high impact professional and is a great cultural fit for Experient.”

Herod brings over 20 years of hospitality industry experience to Experient. Prior to the San Diego CVB, she worked in sales management for The Kimpton Group, Hyatt and Holiday Inn.

“Barb’s experience leading teams and executing strategy will help us execute our sales initiatives to expand the company’s growing footprint in the association marketplace,” said Michael Guerriero, President, Event Management Services division for Experient. “We are excited to have her onboard.”

In her new role, Herod will supervise Experient’s Association Strategic Sales Executives as well as its Business Development Department. She is based in the Arlington, VA office.
