Conferon Global Services Adds Two

6/1/2006 - Conferon Global Services (CGS) announced two additions to its national sales team.

Deborah Badger, CMP, brings more than 15 years of hospitality and tourism experience to the Conferon Sales Network. Badger is based in Indiana and will be supporting new client development efforts throughout the country. Having served on the board of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Southern California Chapter from 1999-2003, she won the “Supplier of the Year” award in 2001. Before joining Conferon, Badger served as a hotel convention service manager, sales manager and associate director of sales at major brands in the Los Angeles area. Most recently she was the director of sales at the Fort Wayne/Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Currently Badger serves on the board of the MPI Indiana Chapter.

Karen Knoerdel will be based in Pennsylvania, with a primary focus on Pittsburgh metro area. Knoerdel will also be supporting new client development efforts nationwide. Before joining Conferon, Knoerdel served full-time in the Air National Guard as the assistant to the Wing Executive Officer of her unit, where she organized, coordinated and supervised meetings and conferences. She has seven years of experience in the meeting planning industry.
