Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Management Announces Promotions

8/31/2006 - Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd. (HML) has announced the latest promotion of two senior management staff. Mr. P. K. Chan has been transferred to the Facility & Development Department as Facility Development Manager. Mr. Peter Wu has been promoted to the position of Building Operations Manager. HML is the Management and operating company for the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Mr. Chan has been working for the HML for over 15 years. In his new assignment, Mr. Chan will act as the HKCEC’s key operations and technical representative working regularly with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council project management team on the expansion project to Halls 1, 2 and 3. He will also oversee capital improvements and renovations to the HKCEC in the future. Mr. Chan was HKCEC’s Building Operations Manager previously.

Mr. Wu joined the HKCEC as Deputy Building Operations Manager in 2005 prior to the promotion. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Institution of Electrical Engineers. He is also a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom. Mr. Wu is in charge of the day-to-day building operations of the HKCEC and ensures that preventative maintenance programs are in place to extend the life of HKCEC’s various equipment and facilities.
