EXHIBITOR Magazine to Document Evolution of Green Exhibiting

7/30/2007 - EXHIBITOR magazine, the most widely-read publication on trade show marketing best practices, has announced the development of comprehensive informational resources for Green and sustainable exhibiting.

The initiative will involve extensive research benchmarking the dynamics of the Green trend, tracking awareness, commitment, and demand relating to Green exhibiting; the impact of corporate Green mandates; barriers to adoption; price sensitivity; financial and competitive implications; and the availability of environmentally sensitive exhibit and event solutions. EXHIBITOR's ongoing research and reporting will address the implications of the Green exhibiting trend from both the corporate user and industry supplier perspective.

A broad range of Green issues will be addressed in the Magazine's coverage of how corporate exhibitors are implementing Green. In keeping with its mission to inform and educate corporate exhibitors, the Magazine will examine the rise of eco-friendly exhibiting and build resources to help corporate exhibitors assess and integrate Green solutions. Through articles and case studies, EXHIBITOR will present how Green practices are being implemented and provide information to assist exhibitors in their decisions. Educational offerings at EXHIBITOR2008, the national conference for trade show and event marketing sponsored by EXHIBITOR and Corporate EVENT magazines, will focus on Green options with a series of educational sessions including a Profiles in Excellence case study. The largest industry event of the year, EXHIBITOR2008 will provide industry suppliers with a unique opportunity to highlight their Green capabilities.

Many large U.S. companies have made their corporate responsibility initiatives highly visible, specifically environmental initiatives. According to a recent study of firms with $250+ million in revenues, 43 percent of executives identify Green activities as an element in their corporate growth strategies. As they extend these initiatives internally, exhibiting programs are increasingly affected. Yet Green standards, application of technologies, processes, practices and business implications are largely undefined. The commitment made by EXHIBITOR, which first wrote about green exhibiting 16 years ago, is to facilitate discussion of Green issues within the exhibit and event community and provide a knowledge platform to support business decisions involving the adoption of Green exhibiting practices.
