Profile:
As one of the United States? largest convention centers, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center hosts a wide variety of events each year. Conveniently located in bustling downtown Dallas, the facility provides easy access to plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The center boasts more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space, 724,526 square feet of contiguous event space, a 9,816-seat arena, a 1,750-seat theater, three ballrooms, and the world's largest vertiport at the south end of the complex. In addition to being the first wireless convention center in the world, the venue's Good Neighbor Program donates all useable leftover food and goods from events to local non-profits and homeless shelters. The LEED-certified convention center also uses renewable energy for all electricity, as well as high-efficiency motors for its HVAC system. It even offers free recycling collection at all trade shows and exhibitions. From sporting events to general sessions, the venue can work for any and every meeting planner's needs.

KEY FEATURES AT A GLANCE

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS
The ever-improving venue is both historical and highly functional. In the early 2000s, the venue completed an expansion project that doubled the building's square footage, and a recently announced renovation project will update all the facility's restrooms over the next two years.

CONVENIENT LOCATION
Situated near both Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the venue boasts an attached hotel with 1,000 rooms, on-site business center.

DINING AND ENTERTAINMENT
Located roughly one mile from the center, the Victory Park neighborhood provides a multitude of entertainment and dining options, as well as the American Airlines Center, which is home to the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars. Other attractions include Pioneer Plaza, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.
