Exhibit Challenges in a Not-for-Profit vs. For-Profit Healthcare Environment
Exhibitors in the not-for-profit sector can become frustrated when they may not have product sales to justify the cost and value of exhibiting. Being unable to apply traditional methods of measuring ROI creates unique challenges. In the healthcare arena specifically, there are more similarities than differences between for-profit and not-for-profit exhibitors. However, the differences can be consequential when developing your strategies and objectives. This session will:
 •  Discuss the differences that impact not-for-profit vs. for-profit exhibiting strategies
 •  Compare and contrast issues faced by both sectors
 •  Discuss challenges of measuring brand influence/organizational reputation
 •  Provide insights on successes and failures from both sectors
 •  Provide recommendations for measuring your results
 •  Content also applies to non-profit associations

Annette McClure, CTSM Gold, CSEP, account manager, trade shows and events, Nationwide Children's Hospital
I have been responsible for developing and expanding our trade show program since 2000. As a not-for-profit pediatric hospital, we don't have a product to sell per-se when exhibiting in the trade show environment. We continue to explore for-profit measurement tools and adapt them in a way to demonstrate the value of our face-to-face marketing efforts and influence on brand perception. I'm passionate about helping fellow not-for-profit exhibitors achieve their success goals.
