Kossmann.dejong Announces Departure of Ellen Schindler and Welcomes New Business Director Benjamin Koolstra
Kossmann.dejong announced today that Ellen Schindler, associate partner | CEO, will leave our agency mid-July 2018. She is succeeded by our new business director Benjamin Koolstra.
Ellen Schindler joined Kossmann.dejong in 2005 and became a partner in 2014. With her organizational skills and ability to connect with people, Ellen succeeded in raising Kossmann.dejong to a higher level: from mainly national projects and 6 employees to an internationally award-winning agency that works in the 'Champions League' of exhibition and experience design.
We regret very much her leaving the agency, but we understand and respect her motivation to return to her home base in Rotterdam, where she will continue her career in the field of architecture. From 1 September Ellen will be starting a new position as Partner | CEO at De Zwarte Hond architects in Rotterdam.
New business director
We have appointed Benjamin Koolstra (1961) as the new business director at Kossmann.dejong.
For years Benjamin led theaters and museums in Kampen, Nijmegen and Zwolle. From 2012 he has been developing new marketing and commercial initiatives for theaters, but also he continued to lead cultural institutions through change, acting as an interim director. Together with Kossmann.dejong Benjamin developed the concept and content of the new Stedelijk Museum Kampen (2009) and Museum Schokland (2014).
Kossmann.dejong is an international design studio specialised in exhibition design and interior architecture. Our portfolio spans from temporary and permanent exhibitions for museums to visitor centres, historic sites, brand experiences and engaging interiors. Through a combination of different media and collaboration across disciplines, we aim to design meaningful, narrative spaces that inspire visitors, appeal emotionally and provide lasting experiences.
