Miami Beach Convention Center Announces Change in Labor Check-in
"Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) has always placed a high value on security and will be rolling out a new security check-in for all labor coming into the facility," said Robert “Bob” Hundevadt, Director of Public Safety, Miami Beach Convention Center. "The entry is off 18th Street and Washington Avenue (near the Southeast corner of the building) and will be the only point of entry."
"I wanted to remind everyone that MBCC implemented the ESCA Worker Identification System (WIS) on May 1, 2017," continued Hundevadt. "All contractors, suppliers and vendors who need access to work in the facility will be REQUIRED to display the ESCA WIS badge to enter the building. It will be required that you enter and exit the building at new security labor check in, effective September 20, 2018."
"We strongly recommend that all companies go on line to wis.esca.org for a complete overview of the process involved in registering for the WIS badges."
If you have any questions regarding the WIS program, please contact Mitt Arnaudet, Exhibition Services & Contractors Association, at P: 972.971.1140 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit esca.org.
