George P. Johnson Hires Marcos Ribeiro as VP, Global Executive Creative Director
George P. Johnson (GPJ), the world's leading experiential marketing agency, has announced the hiring of Marcos Ribeiro as Vice President, Global Executive Creative Director, for the IBM account. Based in GPJ’s New York office, Marcos will be responsible for leading global creative efforts for IBM, as well as expanding the local team in the U.S.
On his appointment, Marcos Ribeiro stated, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to return to IBM creative, now at GPJ. With IBM, it’s all about connecting audiences to complex themes in a digestible and engaging way. Prior to GPJ, Marcos spent more than a decade working with IBM as a creative lead while at Ogilvy & Mather, making him an ideal fit for this role. Marcos is a recognized leader in his field with more than 20 years of experience developing strategic, innovative and integrated campaigns. Throughout his career, he has worked with Fortune 100 Companies and brands including IBM, Dove, AMEX, Fiat and Huggies. In addition to his practical experience, he has a keen understanding of cultural landscapes having worked in Brazil, LatAM and with U.S. and for agencies like BBDO, DM9DDB, J. Walter Thompson, Digitas and Ogilvy. Moreover, his portfolio has garnered awards at Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Effies, Clio and LIA among others.
