KwikBoost Expands its Charging Portfolio with Acquisition of Brightbox
Leading mobile device charging company, KwikBoost, announced their acquisition of charging competitor Brightbox. The KwikBoost portfolio includes dozens of solutions that offer mobile device charging to fit any space. While KwikBoost has offered charging lockers for several years, this move adds a ‘smart’ charging locker and services to their already robust portfolio.
The Brightbox products will become part of KwikBoost’s Lock & Charge product family, joining the Multi-Device Charging Locker and the Cell Phone Charging locker currently offered. KwikBoost’s Lock & Charge solutions individually store, charge and secure phones, tablets, iPads, and laptops. All lockers under the KwikBoost Lock & Charge family can be customized with an organization's branding and deployed in any location where a secure charging solution makes sense.
The Brightbox Smart Charging Locker by KwikBoost is the most advanced charging locker on the market today. The solution features an interactive touchscreen display and digital advertising capabilities for branded content and user surveys. A web-based portal provides access for content control, usage reporting, fleet management, real time updates with networked communications and remote technical support. The locker can accommodate a complimentary or paid amenity model with encrypted payment processing.
“The acquisition of Brightbox and its market-leading software platform for secure charging will prove crucial to KwikBoost as we forge ahead in this growing
competitive marketplace. We believe the combination of our best in class solutions with a smart charging platform will position us to hold our place as the market leader and roll out the next generation of charging solutions”, said Joe Mecca, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder.
Known for their patented designs and consistently developing new products, KwikBoost has dominated the charging market across numerous industries including healthcare, higher education, K-12, events, retail and state and local governments. This acquisition demonstrates their commitment to continue to deliver innovative products. “We believe the Brightbox smart locker compliments our portfolio and will be well received by our clients. For Brightbox clients, we are excited to welcome them to the KwikBoost family and provide the high level of service our clients are accustomed to receiving”, notes Chief Sales Officer and Co-Founder Paul Mecca. Clients that have already deployed Brightbox Smart Lockers in their facilities can expect a continuity of service with no disruption.
