Aventri Announces Miranda DeSantis as New Chief People Officer
Norwalk-based event tech company Aventri recently announced Miranda DeSantis as its first-ever Chief People Officer. Aligning with Aventri’s tagline of “Connect Better,” the CPO brings people together through discipline, mindfulness, and communication to ensure goals are achieved and employees are excited and engaged.
“This brand-new position comes at a very opportune time in Aventri’s growth as a recognized leader in our space and in global SaaS,” says Oni Chukwu, CEO of Aventri. “Miranda brings strong bona fides to this role as a senior Human Resources leader. Throughout her work history, SHE has played an integral role in fostering collaboration and developing progressive people programs to grow high-performing teams and achieve company-wide transformational goals.”
Miranda will oversee and build out best practices in Aventri global HR functions, including talent management, training and development, and global compliance. Central to this new role will be the institutionalization of key aspects of Aventri’s winning culture to ensure it continues to thrive and excel.
Miranda most recently held the role of Head of HR for Rodale, Inc., where she led all areas of the employment experience for the company’s portfolio of well-known brands, including Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Prevention and Runner’s World. Prior to Rodale, Miranda served as Pret-A-Manger’s VP of People for their US operation and spent more than a decade at Starwood Hotels & Resorts as a Senior Director and an HR Business Partner (HRBP). She started her career progressing through various people-focused roles at Verizon, including Training Coach, Recruiting Manager and HR Manager. She received a BA in Rhetoric & Communications from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. Miranda is also a certified yoga teacher interested in tying mindfulness practices into the workplace.
