Louisville Tourism Announces Convention Sales Staffing Updates

Emily Hixson has been promoted Sales Coordinator in the Convention Development department. Prior to this position, she served as one of the department’s Convention Sales Assistants when she joined Louisville Tourism in October 2018. Her experience before joining Louisville Tourism was as Wellness Coordinator at On-Site Health Solutions. Hixson graduated from Western Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition. She started her new position April 1.

With the vacancy created by Hixson promotion, Morgan Kemmeling has joined Louisville Tourism as a Convention Sales Assistant. Her previous experience was also in hospitality at the Hyatt Regency Louisville as the Assistant Front Office Manager. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Business Administration degree.

Sally Chinn also joined Louisville Tourism as the organization added an additional Convention Sales Assistant position. Chinn graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and joined the organization on March 6.

Laura Crawford is filling the National Sales Manger role, bringing over 10 years of hospitality industry experience to the Louisville Tourism organization, most recently serving as the Director of Sales & Marketing at 21c Museum Hotel. Crawford graduated from University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and French. She started her new position April 1.
