New Hires & Promotions

A. Fassano & Company Promotes Warren Plank to Director, Data Security & Systems Management

Warren Plank A. Fassano & Company recently promoted Warren R. Plank to Director, Data Security & Systems Management this year which will expand his responsibilities of system security, data management and analysis, systems integration, PCI Compliance, SOC I Compliance, IT oversight, as well as employee training.

Warren has worked within A. Fassano & Company for nearly nineteen years, starting out as business development and moving quickly through the ranks, serving many years as Director, Sales & Marketing Communications. One of his most rewarding experiences was overseeing the very successful American Diabetes Association Middle East Congress in Dubai, December 2012. Warren used his creative talents handling every aspect of the event from creating the print and marketing materials, organizing and creating the exhibit floor, selling sponsorship programs and exhibit space, directing the general service contractor and convention facility, as well as designing and creation of the show banners that prominently displayed association and sponsor recognition through the Dubai Convention Center.

System security in today’s environment is paramount to the functions of a well-run organization, the integrity of customer information, and the safekeeping of confidential client data. Compliance is the result and the measure of personnel training, ongoing procedural testing and blind auditing of the systems and individuals employed for the organization to succeed.

Warren is an officer with the New Jersey Postal History Society, and member of several professional philatelic organizations, including the American Philatelic Association, United States Postal Society, among several others. He donates his time and resources maintaining NJPostalHistory.org for the Society to provide an avenue to disseminate the award winning NJPHS Journal, which he is also a contributing writer. He is an avid gardener, an avid reader and enjoys time painting in oils/acrylics.

Warren is committed to maintaining and enriching the security standards established within the organization and expanding the integration of Salesforce, D&B Research and ExpoCad, as well as employee training to maximize our use of these systems to the success of our company and clients.

A. Fassano & Company Promotes Scott Zeller to Director, Marketing & Communications.

Scott Zeller A. Fassano & Company recently promoted Scott Zeller to Director, Marketing & Communications in May 2018 and has taken on the new duties of marketing strategy, planning and delivery of all promotional activities.

Scott Zeller has worked within A. Fassano & Company since November 2015, starting out as the Senior Manager, Business Development and moving quickly through the ranks. “I plan to collaborate closely with sales teams to identify priorities for each client and provide the tools, materials and presentations for maintaining a consistent, branded voice. Furthermore, I will lead messaging management for all channels and audiences while serving as a key liaison between our organization and our valued partners.”

Before coming to work at A. Fassano & Company, Scott spent over a decade as a Sr. Recruitment Consultant and Talent Acquisition Manager for a leading national healthcare provider in Chicago. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences from Ulster University in the United Kingdom.

A. Fassano & Company Promotes Daniel Yu to Digital Media Communications Manager

Daniel Yu A. Fassano & Company recently promoted Daniel Yu to Digital Media Communications Manager last year and will take on the new duties of web development and analytics starting in 2019.

Daniel Yu has worked within A. Fassano & Company since early 2018, starting out as Marketing & Media Communications and moving quickly through the ranks.

“I plan to keep up with the growing trends of digital marketing and web development to efficiently implement strategies to keep A. Fassano & company modern and efficient. By using tools like Google Analytics, I will give insight on measurable growth and data on how to extend our reach and influence for our clients.”

Before coming to work at A. Fassano & Company, Daniel was a Marketing Analyst at Jarden Corporation and freelance Web Developer for 1 year. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Temple University. “I am grateful for this opportunity to pursue a career that I’m deeply passionate about. I will create innovative and impactful websites, utilize social media to put out on-demand information, and analytical tools to aid and shape the direction for our digital marketing campaigns.”

A. Fassano & Company hires Katarina (Kat) Herrmann and joins the Logistics and Business Development Teams

Katarina (Kat) Herrmann Katarina (Kat) Herrmann joined the A. Fassano & Company team in May 2018. As our newest Trade Show Operations Concierge, Kat currently works closely with our Logistics and Business Development Teams

Katarina’s inspiration growing up was US Soccer Player Mia Hamm, both for how she played the game, but her views on success and being part of a greater team. Kat lives her professional and personal life as Mia said, “There are always new, grander challenges to confront, and a true winner will embrace each one.” Kat looks forward to continuing to learn about the industry and helping her clients to thrive.

Before coming to work at A. Fassano & Company, Katarina was Territory Sales Support & Customer Service Manager at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, for 4 years. She graduated with a Trade School Degree in Sales from Ecole Professionnelle de Saint-Hyacinthe in Montreal, Canada, and is trilingual, speaking English, French and German.

Aside from work, you will likely find Kat in a yoga studio. For Katarina is about finding balance in all aspects of one’s life.: “Just like Nature, we need balance in our life”.

A. Fassano & Company hires Karissa Burns as Senior Manager, Sponsorship Development & Events

Karissa Burns A. Fassano & Company recently hired Karissa Burns, CMP for the position of Senior Manager, Sponsorship Development & Events. In this role, Karissa will be responsible for the research and development, fulfillment and overall logistics of sponsorship related items.

Karissa joins the team with a wealth of knowledge in exhibits and events and will extend A. Fassano’s superior level of customer care. She will work with a number of new and existing A. Fassano clients.

Before joining the A. Fassano & Company team, Karissa was a Senior Event Manager at the Colorado Convention Center (SMG) for over five years. She gained experience with VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, prior to that. Karissa graduated with honors from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management. She resides in Denver, CO and is a member of the Rocky Mountain PCMA Chapter.

Both Karissa and the A. Fassano team are excited for this addition and look forward to the opportunities ahead.

A. Fassano & Company hires Gianina (Gia) Cattaneo as Content Marketing Manager

Gianina (Gia) Cattaneo A. Fassano & Company recently hired Gia Cattaneo for the role of Content Marketing Manager in February 2019 and she has taken on the new duties of content creation and application of content to positively affect the lead generation, sales and brand awareness of our growing organization.

Gia previously worked for 1SEO in Bristol, PA. as Editor of Content & Social Media Marketing where she managed a team of writers and social media marketing specialists. Working in an agency setting, Gia was influential in revamping the brand email marketing strategy and delivering high quality, curated content and brand messaging for discerning clients from numerous industries. She is also experienced in copy editing scientific language, working as a freelance Medical Editor for Write On Time Medical Communications.

Her methodology and understanding of email marketing tools, Pardot/Salesforce, A/B testing, segmentation, and client relationship management will make her a very valuable asset to our growing team!

A. Fassano & Company hires Heidi O’Hara as Business Development Associate

Heidi O’Hara A. Fassano & Company recently hired Heidi O’Hara to Business Development Associate in late 2018 and has taken on the role and responsibilities of exhibit and sponsorship sales.

Before coming to work at A. Fassano & Company, Heidi was the Sales Manager at Key Publishing Group for 2 ½ years where she handled exhibit, sponsorship and advertising sales for the International MakeUp Artists Tradeshows. She graduated with a degree in Psychology from California State University Northridge California.

“I am excited to join the A Fassano team in the role of Business Development and I look forward to generating new exhibit sales and creative sponsorship opportunities for three highly acclaimed medical shows.”
