SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals, Powered by ABCOMRENTS, Announces the Appointment of Kevin McPherson as Technical Account Manager
SmartSource® Computer & Audio Visual Rentals, Powered by ABCOMRENTS, one of the nation’s leading providers of computer, audio visual (AV) and technology solutions for businesses and events, recently announced that Kevin McPherson has joined the company as Technical Account Manager. In this role, McPherson will be reporting to SmartSource Manager, Event Management Solutions Robert Edwards. His responsibilities encompass providing technical support to customers and providing sales team members with support on pre- and post-sales processes, as well as keeping management informed regarding customer feedback to help identify revenue growth and/or new product opportunities. He will be leveraging over 15 years of event registration and lead retrieval technology experience, working in conjunction with the company’s Registration Product Managers. McPherson is based in Orange County, California.
According to Edwards, “Kevin will be a great addition to our Event Management Solutions team. He brings strong analytical skills and a proven track record in securing and retaining longstanding client relationships.” Edwards noted that McPherson will be working with the sales team to develop proposals and conduct event technology demonstrations to increase awareness of the company’s extensive portfolio of event solutions. Additionally, he will be establishing and driving best practices to support excellent customer service, increased sales and fiscal goals.
McPherson previously served with SmartSource from 2014 to 2017 marketing the company’s full range of registration, lead retrieval, session/attendee tracking and other event technologies. He subsequently held a position as president of the Revenue Enhancement Group, Inc. (REG, Orange, CA), a company involved in recovering direct assessment overpayments for commercial property owners, property managers and tenants. His career also includes his role as National Account Manager with ExpoBadge Inc. (Anaheim, CA), a service provider to the convention and trade show industry, where he was responsible for managing key accounts. In addition, he owned a wholesale apparel printing company, Beach Cities Screen Printing (Orange, CA).
McPherson’s higher education includes studies at Chaffey College.
