BBC Express Rebrands to 'Connect' and Announces Expansion in 4 Major Markets
BBC Express is now Connect Better Business Co. The company’s rebrand coincides with significant local and national expansion. The 32-year-old business has developed an innovative technology platform that allows customers to seamlessly receive estimates and book transportation 24/7 and will be launching a state-of-the-art mobile app soon.
Connect’s expansion marks a pivotal point of growth for the company. The local expansion includes a new contract with WMATA to provide on-demand transportation for people with disabilities. Connect will invest $300,000 over the next 6 months in wheelchair accessible vehicles.
“We are always innovating to better serve our clients and expanding our fleet of wheelchair accessible vehicles is one step in improving the transportation system. Connect is thrilled to partner with WMATA, and we are proud to offer safe, reliable and dignified transportation solutions for commuters with disabilities” said Ferras Ghannam, Vice President, Connect.
The national expansion includes the extension of its crew transportation services to three airports in Southern California. Connect began servicing airlines at San Diego (SAN) and Los Angeles (LAX) airports as of October 1st, and Long Beach Airport (LGB) January 1st with a contract through Jet Blue airlines. Connect will additionally expand business in California by offering Limo, Charter and Tour services to business travelers and tourists in those cities.
To celebrate the company’s growth and rebrand, Connect is launching a food drive for Food for Others, a nonprofit organization that distributes food to families in need in our community throughout 17 sites in Northern Virginia.
Founded in 1988 by Omar Ghannam as an airport shuttle service provider, Connect quickly grew into a leading ground transportation company and now owns and maintains one of the largest privately-owned fleets in the metro DC area. In addition, Connect operates in Baltimore, Kansas City, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Long Beach. The company offers shuttles, limo (or “black car”) and charter services. In a rideshare culture, Connect only hires professional chauffeurs as drivers and thrives thanks to their focus on exceptional customer service and investing in innovative technology.
