ExpoDisplays Craftsmanship on Display at PAX East

5/26/2016

Alabama company ExpoDisplays built and installed one of the most talked about booths at PAX East in Boston earlier this month for Logitech. The global leader in the world of consumer technology is always a hot destination at PAX Shows across the country.

PAX East is held annually in Boston. Those ingrained in the gaming culture are aware of this mega show, but for those who aren't, PAX (known originally as Penny Arcade Expo) is a series of gaming conventions held in Seattle, Boston, San Antonio and Melbourne, Australia. It’s an event created exclusively for gaming that draws tens of thousands of attendees and includes indie games, advanced technology, live music and cosplay.

Logitech PAX East 2016

ExpoDisplays has collaborated with California company StudioBlue Reprographics on many past Logitech projects and PAX appearances. This year, partnering with Kent Suzuki of Right Brain Electronics for programming resulted in the most spectacular display yet, the Great Wall of LogitechG [ #GreatWallofLogitechG ]. This LogitechG display was designed to promote the light-up G810 mechanical keyboard. 160 keyboards and high level programming skill were used to execute the moving light wall used as a screen to depict a classic video game film. Impressed attendees stood in awe at the feat and industry media quickly picked up on the uniqueness of this project.

The world’s first look of the display was filmed at ExpoDisplays’ Birmingham facility where it was built and released on Logitech’s social media hours before the show debut. Featured in the video are ExpoDisplays employees David Hays, Travis Young, Jeff Needham and David Holladay all of Birmingham. Also prominent in the display were 2 racing simulators that were hot gaming spots during the show.
