Greater Columbus Convention Center South Cafe & Marketplace Merchants Begin to Reopen

The Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) South Café & Marketplace merchants are beginning to reopen, with the addition of a new merchant.

Retail businesses and personal-service providers have begun to reopen in the food court and shops area located inside the GCCC south entrance on East Nationwide Boulevard. Merchants opening this week include Heroes and Games, Sky’s the Limit Barber & Beauty Boutique, Donya’s Florals and Nielsen’s Convenience Store & Gifts.

A new merchant -- Lavish Laque Mobile Nail Bar -- will join them. Operated by Lasta Ramsey, Lavish Laque will offer waterless manicures, waterless pedicures, gel manicures, dip powder, gel polish and builder gel overlay.

Guests may stop by the new business in person Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or book appointments online at www.LavishLaque.com.

“After sheltering in place for a number of weeks, we know guests are ready to look their best again by getting a spring haircut, manicure or pedicure and they can accomplish that here in one visit,” said GCCC General Manager John R. Page. “Beginning June 1, guests can again enjoy a selection of our quick-service restaurants that will reopen and provide great variety and value.”

Even though the South Café & Marketplace is reopening, the Greater Columbus Convention Center in general remains closed, pending changes to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s current order regarding a ban on mass gatherings. The exhibit halls remain reserved and set for potential activation as an alternative care site if there is a local surge in COVID-19 cases.
