InCharged Launches New Line of UV-C Sanitizing and Disinfecting Cleaning Products
5/21/2020
In mid-March, the COVID-19 pandemic brought the events industry, along with the rest of the world, to a grinding halt. For an event technology company like InCharged, it seemed like a full stop.
In the middle of a new product release of interactive vending machines, the VendX, InCharged’s founder and CEO, Jessica Gonzalez was, like many around the world, unsure how to proceed.
But, Gonazlez is no stranger to hard work and impossible odds.
From the onset of InCharged, she has powered through obstacles, bootstrapping the company, and working by a “nothing is impossible” attitude - which is why, for the last two months, she has been pouring herself into an innovative, powerful technology: Ultraviolet Disinfecting Light.
“As soon as the pandemic was declared, I knew that the events industry would never be the same. Events aren’t just on pause, they’ll be forever changed. Our global demand for safety and health is stricter and more important than ever,” Gonzalez says.
“I knew I needed to use my event technology experience to create something new, that will help not only the future events industry but also organizations and businesses right now.”
In her search for a path forward, Gonzalez discovered the underutilized potential of UV-C technology. UV-C light is a CDC-approved* disinfectant that is so powerful it kills 99.9% of bacteria. Even more significant, it’s effective against coronaviruses like SARS. Her first step was to replace LEDs on her fleet of event technology with UV lights, but she wanted to do more.
“Essential business and spaces have stayed open, and more and more businesses and offices are opening every day. As a working mother in Jersey, I couldn’t help but think about how this UV-C technology could help places like daycares and hospitals in my region. I wanted to do more.”
Gonzalez and her team have been working tirelessly to build out a brand new, standalone UV-C tower - the LuxUVC. Applying their event tech standards, the unit’s compact, 360 design allows for easy transportation and setup and unparalleled disinfecting efficiency. With UV-C technology in place, InCharged is now able to provide a whole new branch of disinfecting products for in and out of the event industry.
Traditional UV-C methods rely on bulky, outdated units that must be moved around manually for hours. With a fleet of their UV-C Lux towers, InCharged is able to clean large areas and multiple rooms in minutes, cutting cleaning costs and improving sanitizing effectiveness.
Gonzalez and the InCharged team are focusing their technology and services on what businesses and organizations need right now: safety and peace of mind.
