Photosound Communications Show:
International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation 2003
You’d expect exhibitors at an organ transplant show to take the somber route. But Hoffmann-La Roche AG took the unexpected approach to its exhibit,
and its desks. Lively contemporary designs, featuring Plexiglas “ribbons” in citrus shades of orange and lime green, represent the exhibit’s
“ribbons of life” theme.

Exhibit Associates Inc. Show:
American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo 2003
Sure, it’s a reception desk. But it’s also a backlit graphic,
literature stand, and storage compartment all in one. Plus, the multi-purpose desk doesn’t come off as cluttered or strictly utilitarian. The metallic
finish adds a touch of class, and the lightbox graphic quickly communicates the exhibitor’s offerings — lab ventilation equipment.

Condit Exhibits Inc. Show:
American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo 2003
This exhibitor wanted to show a presentation with high-quality sound on a wall-mounted plasma screen. But there just wasn’t a logical space to house
speakers and
a decent sound system inside the 10-by-20 space. Voila! The reception-desk boom box was born.

Messua / Messua Arvelin Oy Show:
National Fire Protection Association World Safety Conference and Exposition 2003
With orange lights on both ends and padded chairs to match, this waist-level reception desk looks more like a cocktail bar than a desk. And attendees at
this industrial show appreciated the switch. Rather than just greeting attendees, the desk offers a relaxing place for attendees to take a load off.
Oil rigs are seldom described as sleek and shiny. Yet this desk from oilfield equipment manufacturer Tesco Corp. is just that. The combination of girder-like
supports and the simple yet colorful center graphic panel is the perfect blend of high-class polish and oil-field grit.

ITU Telecom World 2003
Few desks net more attention than this orange aquarium filled with goldfish. Orange SA, no small fish in the European wireless communications industry,
paired its signature color and shape with water, life, and movement to create a sensory lure even the Telecom sharks couldn’t resist.
