Welcome to “Wa! Germany!”, where visitors immerse themselves in a fully circular cosmos that embodies the future of a circular economy. Every element — architecture, garden, exhibition, and narrative — follows the principle of the cycle.

The pavilion’s design itself is a bold statement of circular architecture: modular, demountable, and built from locally sourced, rented, and reusable materials. It sets a new standard for low-impact, temporary buildings — from its modular timber structure, steel foundation, and innovative circular materials, the building is designed for full disassembly and reuse post-Expo. The exhibition highlights the circular economy as key to sustainable living through an immersive, playful experience. Every design choice supports and accessibly communicates resource efficiency, carbon reduction, and regeneration.

Inside, visitors embark on an immersive journey through a lush biosphere — a metaphor for nature as the original circular system — where they meet Circular, a round, kawaii-inspired companion who emotionally engages guests with accessible language and interactive insights.

Three experiential spaces follow: Circular Cities, where guests co-create future urban environments using AI; a space showcasing circular products and innovations; and Circular Me, focusing on personal responsibility in circular living. German innovations in the circular economy are integrated throughout via interactive, intuitive exhibits.

Back in the biosphere, the journey completes its circle. Where visitors began with curiosity, they return with insight, engaging in hands-on exhibits that transform understanding into action. The journey concludes as guests send their Circular down a slide — symbolizing cycles of transformation — before entering the regenerative garden, where embedded storytelling and visible water systems bring circular principles to life. The restaurant and shop complete the experience with sustainably sourced food and products, extending the narrative of circular living.

After Expo 2025, the pavilion’s use continues: The buildings will be relocated, and the Circular companions will be repurposed. More than a showcase, the German pavilion offers a hopeful, hands-on vision of circularity as a regenerative, inclusive future that everyone can join.
