The Kuwait pavilion is a bold fusion of architecture, storytelling, and immersive experience, embodying the national theme of Empowering People within the Expo’s Empowering Lives area. Every element — from structure to experience — is designed to connect Kuwait’s heritage with its aspirations, aligned with the Expo’s theme of Designing Future Society for Our Lives.
Guests arrive beneath a sweeping, wing-shaped roof inspired by Kuwait’s dunes, waves, and wings of a falcon. This fluid canopy hovers above a sculpted plinth, evoking the nation’s geography and symbolizing openness, generosity, and upward vision. The modular and reusable pavilion integrates passive cooling, reflecting Kuwait’s commitment to sustainability. Accessibility is integral.
The journey unfolds across five immersive and interactive chapters. It begins in a lively outdoor plaza with playful elements celebrating the Kuwait-Japan friendship and Kuwait’s Expo legacy. Inside, Pearl of Perception transports visitors to an underwater world, where a 4D pearl ride explores Kuwait's past and future.
Dawn in the Desert evokes a stylized desert night with sand, interactive exhibits, and sculptural ceiling sails. Guests discover ancient knowledge, from Al-Sadu weaving to maritime trade and oil, and they experience resilience and ingenuity.
In People & Culture, the present comes to life through interactivity, digital storytelling, and VR. Projects from Vision 2035, the role of women, a luminous aid installation, and virtual encounters with Kuwaitis emphasize inclusion, diversity and solidarity.
The Oasis offers calm and reflection, with native plantings — symbols of generosity and care.
The journey culminates in the Visionary Lighthouse Dome, where spoken wishes become individual, AI-controlled shooting stars in the simulated night sky. Here, everyone can follow their personal star, which connects with other stars, creating moving, cinematic images that culminate in a vision for a shared future.
Hospitality spaces combine traditional Kuwaiti motifs, telling the pavilion’s story through craft, innovation, and atmosphere.
