Informa Exhibitions Announces Acquisition of Florida International Medical Exposition

Informa’s Global Exhibitions Division has announced the expansion of its Life Sciences portfolio with the acquisition of FIME Exhibition & Congress in Miami, Florida. FIME complements the Group’s existing collection of 22 exhibitions and in excess of 100 conferences across the EMEA and APAC Life Science markets.

Now in its 25th year, FIME serves the communities of North and South America with a primary focus on medical technology, medical products & supplies, medical services, and medical equipment. Under Informa’s stewardship, FIME will continue to offer a multi-specialty conference programme in line with Informa’s motto of ‘Exhibition with Education’ providing an unrivalled knowledge-sharing and business networking platform for healthcare trade professionals in the region.

Commenting on the transaction Charlie McCurdy, CEO of Informa’s Global Exhibitions Division said, “The acquisition of FIME will generate substantial value for our customers and partners by driving further product innovation and deeper engagement in these specific markets.
