EXHIBITOR Magazine is Now Accepting Entries for its Expo 2025 Awards
5/27/2025
ROCHESTER, MN - EXHIBITOR magazine is now accepting entries for its Expo 2025 Awards. The competition is open to pavilions, exhibits, presentations, and elements of pavilions and exhibits appearing at Expo 2025 (the world's fair in Osaka, Japan). For nearly 40 years, EXHIBITOR magazine has hosted the world's most prestigious exhibit-design competition, honoring the crème de la crème of trade show exhibits from all over the globe. And now in its second decade, the publication's Expo Awards have recognized the most impressive pavilions at the world's fairs in Shanghai at China's Expo 2010, Yeosu at South Korea's Expo 2012, Milan at Italy's Expo 2015, Astana at Kazakhstan's Expo 2017, and Dubai at Expo 2020. Now it's Osaka's turn to acclaim not only the specular pavilions and exhibits but also the architects and designers who created them. “EXHIBITOR is recognized globally for honoring excellence in experiential design,” said Emily Olson, editor of EXHIBITOR magazine. “Now in its second decade, our Expo Awards competition continues to celebrate the outstanding work of countries and companies from around the world.” In developing this year's World Expo Awards program, EXHIBITOR magazine is proud to rely on the expertise of EXHIBITOR senior writer Charles Pappas, who will also be in Osaka. Pappas is the internationally renowned author of "Flying Cars, Zombie Dogs, and Robot Overlords: How World's Fairs and Trade Expos Changed the World," "Expo 2020: The Definitive Edition," and "Nobody Sits Like the French," the last a look at how the world expos created the Paris we know and revere. The contest will be judged by a star-studded panel of multidisciplinary design, marketing, architecture, and communications experts who will ultimately choose which entries represent the best the world has to offer. "Our Expo Awards competition gives individual pavilions an opportunity to spotlight the sometimes under-appreciated effort and imagination that goes into everything from their use of technology to their overall design," said Pappas. "It is a well-earned and highly coveted pat on the back for the design firms, architects, fabrication companies, exhibit directors, docents, and everyone else who poured their blood, sweat, and tears into the common goal of making Expo 2025 unforgettable." Categories include:
Entrants also have access to an All-Access Entry offering (with fees ranging from $1,000 to $1,500, depending on the deadline) that enables pavilions to compete in all 12 of the aforementioned categories. Furthermore, all entries are eligible for the Editor's Choice Award, which will be chosen by the EXHIBITOR editorial team. Plus, entries in the Best Pavilion and Best Small Pavilion categories will be eligible for the People's Choice Award, which will be chosen via online vote in September. Winners will receive editorial coverage in EXHIBITOR magazine and ExhibitorOnline.com, as well as a custom trophy. Honorable mentions will also be named in each category at the judges' discretion.
