Europalco Introduces Half-Moon Tables to Improve Visibility at Seated Corporate Events

LISBON - Europalco, the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe, has launched a new half-moon table format, branded as Meia Lua, created to resolve a common issue in banquet-style events: guests positioned with their backs to the stage. By dividing the traditional round table into a semi-circular layout, the company ensures that all attendees face the stage without compromising the shared dining experience.
In traditional round table setups, approximately half of the guests are seated with their backs to the stage or screen. Throughout the event, attendees often need to turn their chairs to follow what is happening, which can disrupt both comfort and engagement.
The Meia Lua table was designed to resolve this issue. By dividing a round table into a half-moon format, Europalco ensures that all guests are positioned with a direct line of sight to the stage. The configuration maintains the proximity and interaction of a shared dining table while aligning every seat toward the focal point of the event.
The solution has already been implemented at corporate events and gala dinners, where organizers have highlighted the improvement in audience experience. Guests are able to follow the program naturally, without adjusting their seating throughout the evening.
Beyond visibility, the half-moon table format also supports more efficient use of space. Because it occupies less floor area than a full round table, it allows for more fluid room layouts and improved circulation. In venues with limited dimensions, this can translate into greater flexibility when defining seating plans and overall capacity.
Each half-moon table accommodates approximately five guests and is available exclusively for rental as part of Europalco's integrated event production services. The tables are produced internally and reflect the company's approach of developing practical solutions based on real project needs.
The tables feature a white melamine top and aluminum structure, with dimensions of 180 x 90 x 72 cm and a weight of 30 kg. In addition to the standard white finish, they are available in multiple colors, including gray, black, red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise blue, blue, purple, violet, and pink; and can be customized with specific finishes or vinyl applications to align with client branding.
